Raising an Eyebrow

eyebrowThis past weekend, a big football event happened in Seattle. Colin Kapernick and the San Francisco 49’s squared off against Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. The show was slotted for prime time TV viewing – 5:30 PM. The ads leading up to the game touted it as the game everyone wanted to see. The stakes were high and the hype was higher. The quarterbacks even bet an eyebrow on the outcome of the game. Yes, the losing quarterback was supposed to shave off one eyebrow as a symbol of submission to the dominant warrior opponent.

But the big game had to take a back seat. A thunder storm that rolled into Seattle 30 minutes into the game was even bigger than the game! For almost an hour, the vaunted quarterbacks ran into the locker room to find cover. They were upstaged by a much bigger and more powerful show!

If the eyebrow bet was based on the best performance, they both should shave and give God a wink conceding His dominance!
